Polished Concrete
Our polished concrete floors are created by art and science that revolves around the transformation of ugly porous, gray floors to being one of strength, longevity and beauty. Through the combination of diamond grinding, honing, and polishing, chemically densifing, and dyeing the concrete floor, we can create a beautiful, long lasting, low-maintenance floor. A nontoxic chemical is used to densify the floor. This nontoxic liquid rapidly penetrates the concrete surface and chemically reacts with the concrete making it harder, stronger, and less porous. This process is what makes the concrete hard enough to facilitate being polished, with diamond grinding machines, to a mirror like finish as seen on granite and marble. By utilizing this process in conjunction with acid stains, dyes, or colored concrete, and our artistic abilities, we can create floors that are a work of art.
